All your posts on Facebook about this stupid copypasta make no sense today, “tommorrow”, and all the days after. “Even the messages that have been deleted or the photos not allowed,” whatever this means. After all, it does not cost anything to Google. “Better safe than sorry” is wrong in this case, because I’m using the least possible effort to know what I’m talking about. Snopes.com was just talking about this last 2012. Again, “better safe than sorry” makes zero sense because I’m hiding behind a false sense of security which reflects how much I know about privacy in the digital age: none at all.
I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my pictures, information, messages or posts, both past and future, unless I did the moment I signed up for a Facebook account. By this statement, I give notice to my friends about how clueless I am about how social media works and nobody is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. The content of this profile is actually public since i didn’t bother to change my privacy and application settings. Nobody cares. The violation of privacy is non existent and depends on Facebook’s terms of privacy.
NOTE: I do not know what I signed up for when I joined Facebook, and probably all the other social media accounts I have an account in. I just wanted to chat with my amigas on the comments section of my daughter’s latest profile picture and check in whenever I have brunch in Greenbelt.
