With Metro Manila under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) till Aug. 18, the capital’s citizens have reverted to ye olde ways of the pandemic life. Case in point: quarantine passes.
And while we do sift through our mental checklists before stepping out into the metro’s wilderness, this license to walk might still escape our notice. What’s one solution? Print it on your shirt, of course.
That’s the case for ingenious citizen Paola Ortiz who recently posted a photo of her walking the streets of Manila, complete with a face mask, eye shield and well, a shirt with her quarantine pass printed on it.
“Lagi kasi [ko] nakakalimutan [ang quarantine pass] pag lumalabas, so babalik pa [ako] ng house,” she told us via personal message. While the shirt has the complete deets, Paola still makes it a point to grab her actual pass when memory’s on her side. “Dala pa din naman ’yung hard copy when going out.”
That’s a certified quaran-tip for anyone who needs it, especially for MECQ-affected folks in Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal and Bulacan. We have a couple of days left of this stricter quarantine, but hey, there’s probably some time to squeeze in this new shirt—at least for souvenir purposes.
