You can learn a lot about a person through their Spotify tracks. At least, that’s what certain websites have been doing, as they psychoanalyze users and expose them for copious amounts of Taylor Swift (guilty as charged).
One site continues to call us out, but with an added plot twist. Developed by Javier Blázquez, Lucas Aranda and María Artalejo, the Spotify-based Zodiac Affinity is exactly what it sounds like. As written in the description, the site “asks the cosmos” which songs resonate with a user’s zodiac sign. While Spotify has released its cosmic curated playlists based on the signs, this third-party website makes it much more personalized by rifling through users’ recently played tracks.
For a more complex study (as far as Spotify tracks go), users can click on the dropdown list and hover over their moon and rising signs as well. As a Capricorn sun, Taurus moon and Gemini rising, I have gathered two things: 1) I am as eclectic as my signs suggest, and 2) see, I told you I listen to a lot of Taylor Swift.
Check out the site here to get exposed by the cosmos—musically.
