88rising shocked Filipino fans when their latest label arm decided to put down roots right here. Now, how do they make their presence known to everyone? Simple—it all boils down to a classic EP drop.
Featuring acts like Jason Dhakal, Massiah, Kiana Valenciano, Fern and Leila Alcasid, Paradise Rising’s first EP “semilucent” will set the tone on what we can expect from the American mass media company’s latest venture.
“Semilucent” will drop on July 31 at 12 midnight. It will feature five tracks from each artist. On the week of July 26, Paradise Rising’s Twitter account started dropping the EP’s track titles:
- “Endlessly+Tenderly” by Jason Dhakal
- “Clouds” by Leila Alcasid
- “On God” by Massiah
- “Kaori” by Fern Tan
- “Safe Space” by Kiana V
Last May 6, 88rising’s online music fest Asia Rising Forever featured Filipino acts in their lineup for the first time. We saw the likes of Ylona Garcia, Beabadoobee and Iñigo Pascual perform with the label’s top artists. With Paradise Rising on the horizon, it’s exciting to see what they have in store for us.
