IV of Spades’ bassist and lead vocalist has been on a roll lately. After calling out liars in his “Sinungaling” music video last month, Zild now has a new bop for us to include in our quarantine mood playlists.
Zild released the track on his Instagram account, featuring some of his favorite fan artworks as the album art.
“Dila” features a casual, relaxing funk rock beat accompanying Zild’s smooth vocals―slightly different from his earlier release “Sinungaling,” which has a stronger rock beat to go along with the lyrics “sino ba ang sinungaling / tumingin sa salamin / sinungaling ka na nga / nagawa mo pa mag-salita.”
The music video is a trippy decoupage masterpiece with magazine cut-outs of mouths and lips floating around Zild, who seems to be stuck in stop-motion and singing in cramped cupboards.
You can also listen to “Dila” on Spotify.
