BL fans will get a treat from director Petersen Vargas before Pride Month closes. On June 24, Vargas’ and Black Sheep’s newest digital series “Hello Stranger!” will premiere via Cinema One’s #CinemaAtHome Pride Film Festival livestream.
“Hello Stranger!” cast JC Alcantara, Tony Labrusca, Gillian Vicencio, Vivoree, Patrick Quiroz and Migs Almendras will all join in on the Pride-themed stream that starts at 8 p.m. Folks from Cinema One Originals’ “Sila-sila” and “Metamorphosis” also plan to drop by.
“Hello Stranger!” follows the lives of Xavier (Labrusca) and Mico (Alcantara) who meet during a virtual “Star Wars”-themed quiz night by chance. Little do they know, their paths will cross once more when their professor pairs them together for a project. It’s cutesy and lighthearted (or at least, that’s what the trailer wants us to think).
To all the BL fans out there thirsty for Filipino BL content, this is your chance to add another series to your list. RSVP for the premiere of “Hello Stranger!” here.
