To celebrate the two year anniversary of the release of director Jerrold Tarog’s breakout film Heneral Luna (2015)—the highest grossing Filipino historical film ever—TBA Studios released the first teaser to its sequel, Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral. Directed by Tarog once again, actor Paulo Avelino reprises his role as General Gregorio “Goyong” del Pilar, the youngest general in the 1898 Philippine-American War.
Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral—the second film to a three-part series—will take off where Heneral Luna ended, two days after Luna’s assassination. It will depict the struggle of General “Goyo” during the Philippine-American War, namely the five months before the Americans launched its major attack against the then President Emilio Aguinaldo-led Philippines.

Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral is due for release in 2018.
