UPDATE 04/05: UNKNWN.Fiesta will be postponed to the first quarter of 2021.
We have all been to fiestas from our respective barrios and barangays. But whether you’re from the Philippines or just visiting, you’ve never been to a fiesta like UNKNWN Fiesta.
Organized by UNKNWN and CC:Concepts, this 14-hour dance party happening on Feb. 22 at Puerto Real Gardens in Intramuros, celebrates Filipino culture in a pretty out of the box way. It features 30 artists, three stages, eco-aware local brands, and a lot of other Filipino classics and fusions.
The fiesta is divided into three stages: Abanico Stage, Jeepney Stage, and the UNKNWN Village. These stages, in collaboration with artists Leeroy New and Paul Jatayana, will house diverse local and international sounds. We’re getting DJ sets from English synth-pop band Hot Chip, rock band Friendly Fires, London-based DJ Louisahhh, Dutch DJ tag-team Kamma & Masalo, and American dance music project Hercules & Love Affair.
Our local acts are coming in hot too. Expect a budots from hell set from Similarobjects, a special performance from Manila Sound legend Joey Abando from The Boyfriends, an infectious fusion set from Toni Bernardo & Imperatriz Filipinese with D’ Armour Drum and Lyre Band, an out of this world electro-set from Joee & I, and the psychotropikal stylings of Hernandez Brothers & Lustbass.
