The streets may not be accessible right now, but that doesn’t mean the fashion is too. Get your ’80s and ’90s streetwear fitspo through STREETS and FRUiTS magazine, now available virtually.
Fashion magazine STREETS has made its first 100 issues available for digital download for the first time in its 25-year history. Downloading one issue costs $2, which is a cheap 101.25 PHP. The whole archive has a cumulative 3,600 pages of fashion history, starting from the magazine’s inception in 1985.
STREETS, founded by Shoichi Aoki, has been documenting streetwear looks from all over the world.
FRUiTS is STREETS’ sibling magazine, also a brainchild of Aoki. This publication is dedicated solely to Harajuku fashion, known for its avant-garde, maximalist stylings. Archived photos from FRUiTS is also online via an Instagram account.
The digital STREETS issues are available for download on their online shop. Quarantine or not, long live street fashion.
