Ricky Lee: legend, icon, storytelling star of Philippine cinema.
Who doesn’t want to learn from the king who gave us “Himala,” “Jose Rizal” and “Anak?” A lot of aspiring filmmakers and film school kids sure would love to. And don’t worry, that is still possible during quarantine.
The folks from Cinemalaya are opening the opportunity to learn from the storytelling master himself. As we enter Cinemalaya szn, they are launching a masterclass via Zoom called “Mga Tao at Mga Tauhan: A Masterclass on Storytelling by Ricky Lee,” which aims to unearth truths through storytelling.
Happening on Aug. 9 and 15, this workshop is about learning the 11-story steps, harnessing the magic of convergence and writing during hard times. Plus, you get a sweet certificate and handouts too.
It’s only P300 for each participant. So if you want to get out of your writing rut with the OG himself, it’s time to shoot your shot.
