In an effort to establish ourselves as tastemaskers, us, the Scout team, listed down our favorites from the last month. We may share the same interests, and you may get to know some cool new stuff from this list. That’s cool, right? Think of it as a way of establishing some sort of cyber-friendship.
Oh, and we also added our personal Instagrams. Don’t forget to follow Scout at @scoutmagph. Without further ado, here are our September faves.

Civilization VI — I wasn’t expecting to get this game so soon, but here it is. Wonderful reimagining of a 20-year-old franchise. Fun fact: I spent my whole Sunday playing it, reminiscent of the times when I was but a mere bum. I’m lucky I was still able to peel myself away from it long enough for a quick run.
Westworld — I’m a couple of episodes behind at this point (thanks, Civ) but if you have some more time for yet another hour of cable programming every week, get on HBO’s Westworld. It’s messed up in all the right places, forcing us to take a look at what we do to people who don’t have the same power as us.

Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Dreamers – I don’t know why this didn’t came out in my first batch of #ScoutFaves but this is my favorite movie of all time. I will always remember that scene where they run through the Louvre, and the bath tub scene has been my computer wallpaper for 3 years now.
Boiler Room sets – I’m very particular with the music I play while I work. I want it to be something fast and motivating, something that can somehow dictate my tempo of work. Sort of like when you choose your music when you run or workout. I would usually listen to Denzel Curry before Lex introduced this to me one busy office day. So far, my favorite sets are from Ta-Ku, Kaytranada and Jamie xx.

Douche Bag by Serious Studio – The pun is hilarious. Also, when you order it online, it comes in a cute pizza box. I’ll be bringing this with me when I go to Seoul.
Black Mirror Season 3 – This season did not disappoint! Strong beginning with a strong end. My favorite episode would have to be “San Junipero.” It kept me at the edge of my seat the entire time and ended beautifully. Also, the 80s setting was a great plus.
Swiss Army Man – It takes a bit of getting used to because of its weirdness, but I guarantee that anyone who watches this will take away an important lesson about life and the beauty of living. Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe give such charming and nuanced performances. The film makes a good watch for a weekend night in.

This Paradise Life of Pablo Tee a friend lent me. – Yup, I finally got to wear one, thanks to a friend. Yellow’s not my color but I’ll wear this for the sentimental value. Paradise was a great festival.
Vanillajelaba – I like this Instagram account for the following reasons: I don’t know who the person is, and it’s all LAYERS UPON LAYERS UPON LAYERS. He/she is a layering god.
