Olivia Rodrigo is not new to the Grammys. Having won best new artist in 2022 with her debut album “Sour” propelled Olivia to larger fame and record-breaking moments, setting a trail ablaze for her music career after working with Disney.
The “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” alum graced this year’s Grammys stage, with six nominations under her belt for her highly anticipated sophomore album “Guts,” belting out to her pre-released single “Vampire”.
While the 20-year-old singer—clad in a red satin dress—started her performance mellow, the mood of the performance slowly shifted as fake blood started gushing out of the flowers plastered in Olivia’s background. Later on, the “ballad of a homeschooled girl” singer smeared blood on herself, too.
The Gen Z star’s vocals and theatrics must have been so immersive that even Taylor Swift had to stand up and sing along. The “Anti-Hero” singer is one of the artists she has previously acknowledged as an influence in her songwriting. The brief moment also debunked the animosity rumors between the two.
Olivia was also seen cheering for the “All Too Well” singer upon receiving her nods on Sunday night, one of which was album of the year, an award the singer received from surprise guest Celine Dion.
