Our streaming apps couldn’t be happier. (Pres.) Nadine Lustre is officially back with a new track, and it’s giving metaphor for growth and life.
On June 14, Nadine and record label Wild Entertainment shared in an Instagram collaboration post the cover of upcoming single “Overgrown.” The track is set to be released on the midnight of June 23, while the visualizer is scheduled for June 30.
If you scan through your dictionaries, the word overgrown can mean various things: Growing in an excessive manner or being wildly enveloped by blooming plants. And, get this: One of the significant characters in the poster are the blossoms that engulf Nadine’s face and shoulders. We can already hear birds chirping and ocean waves crashing just by looking at it.
How will the track explore the concept of growth? Is it heavily connected with Nadine’s love for nature? We’ll have to wait until its release a few days from now.
“Overgrown” marks Nadine’s comeback track—the last time we looped her was in 2021 with singles “Wait For Me” and “Own It.”
Meanwhile on the acting side, Nadine and director Mikhail Red are crafting a new horror flick after their award-sweeping moment at the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival for the film “Deleter.”
