The Belchers are finally coming to the big screen, and they brought some dubious villains along with them.
After a two-year delay due to the pandemic, 20th Century Studios has now dropped the first trailer of the “Bob’s Burgers” cinematic debut. Dubbed a “big-screen, musical comedy-mystery-adventure” type of film, the 90-second preview is a montage of ol’ Belcher shenanigans, with a peek into the animated movie’s big bad: a giant sinkhole.
According to the official synopsis, “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” kicks off right when a ruptured water main forms the sinkhole in front of Bob’s Burgers. With it blocking the restaurant’s entrance for the remainder of the summer, Bob and Linda make ends meet to keep the business running (see: bikini burger suit), while the kids hatch a plan to save it. And if we’re going by the trailer, aliens and majestic horses might be involved.
“The Bob’s Burgers Movie” is helmed by Bernard Derriman and series creator Loren Bouchard. It’s set to hit theaters abroad on May 27, but in the meantime, check out the trailer below.
