Bookworms, it’s that time of the year again. While we won’t be squeezing in packed crowds for the second time in a row, we still have this: The online version of Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) is making its triumphant return.
After teasing followers about an “early surprise” last Sept. 1, the annual book fair has finally made the official announcement today.
Starting from Sept. 30 till Oct. 4, MIBF will be hosting this year’s five-day event—and just like last year, version 2k21 will be held online. As of writing, the fair hasn’t released full deets yet. But if they’ll take cues from last year, regular goers might expect the usuals, including virtual exhibitions, panel discussions, Q&As, and other staple events.
In the meantime, we’ll be here, eagerly waiting for more books to become victims of our tsundoku senses. Keep refreshing MIBF’s site for upcoming info, but if you’re already looking for book recs, might we suggest a couple of these Filipino masterpieces?
