We’re getting ‘Meteor Garden’ déjà vu with ‘F4 Thailand’ coming to PH screens

Watching the OG Taiwanese “Meteor Garden”—and its Korean and Chinese reboots—on our dining room TV is one of my favorite experiences. Sure, streaming sites currently hold the throne, but nothing beats having a reason to watch TV, topped with the adrenaline of knowing you can’t press pause.

This year, it looks like another “Meteor Garden” déjà vu is on the way. Today, Aug. 6, ABS-CBN announced that the upcoming Thai retelling of the popular school tale is on the way to local shores. This year, we’ll be able to watch “F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers” on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z Channel 11, and TFC, as well as on virtual platforms like Kapamilya Online Live and iWantTFC. There’s no specific premiere date yet, but we’re counting on their declaration of “soon.”

Brought by GMMTV, “F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers” stars Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree (Thyme), Dew Jirawat Sutivanichsak (Ren), Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn (Kavin), Nani Hirunkit Changkham (MJ), and Tu Tontawan Tantivejakul (Gorya) as the lead. It follows the story of four well-off boys meeting a shy but strong girl—but based on its trailer, some interesting twists seem to be brewing.

While waiting, watch the trailer (as if you haven’t) and share your thoughts with us at @scoutmagph on Twitter (click here for ours.)
