If you spend more time listening to music than actual breathing, it might be difficult to enjoy your favorite bops when the internet is wonky. But here’s some good news for Spotify (premium) users: You can now download your favorite albums on your desktop, like how you do on your phone.
Last March, the music streaming service already divulged plans to add the album downloads feature on desktop. All you need to do is head to the album’s page, click the download button, and listen offline. So, if you need to immerse in Lorde’s “Melodrama” while on a social media break, or headbang and weep™ to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Sour” in a no-signal zone, you know your library is hella accessible.
Note that this is exclusive for premium users, but those who use the app for free can download podcasts, according to The Verge. Two of my workmates noticed the update on their desktop today, so if you haven’t seen the new button, just wait a little more to get that sweet offline listening experience.
