Dive into Filipino films with these free offerings from Cinema One

How do you take breaks this month? If your idea of rest is staying in bed and dipping in movies (TL;DR: well-deserved slacking off), Cinema One’s new online offerings will take care of that.

Tuloy-tuloy ang #YouTubeSuperStream this week! 😎

Stream Bitukang Manok, Magic To Win 5 (Happy Ghost), Asuang, Shift,…

Whether you’re up for drama, romance, fantasy, or horror, Cinema One’s lineup additions—from festival favorites to hard-to-find flicks—are all about that. From May 16 (12 noon) to May 22 (12 midnight), you can stream these Filipino movies for free on YouTube.

There’s the classic Antoinette Jadaone mumblecore “That Thing Called Tadhana,” emotionally-charged musical-drama “Changing Partners,” and “Shift,” which follows an idealistic call center agent (Yeng Constantino) and her pragmatic mentor (Felix Roco).

If you’re into some spooks, stream “Bitukang Manok” first to go on a mysterious trip with three strangers. There’s also “Asuang,” which isn’t horror, but more of a campy mockumentary which fronts a loner “God of Sins” who tries to get his redemption on social media.

You can also spot 1991 fantasy-comedy “Happy Ghost V,” a Hong Kong film about Kathy’s (Kris Aquino) dog making a pact with the Happy Ghost. The details? He must turn into a human for 44 days. There’s a catch, though.
