If you’ve ever found yourself on the artistic side of Instagram, chances are, you’ve heard of Geloy Concepcion, the US-based photographer famous for photos marked with statements from strangers that he collects online. Now, he’s making the move from his IG archives to his first-ever book.
Titled “I Take Pictures So I Can Remember,” Geloy Concepcion’s first photography collection chronicles seven years in 90 shots taken from 2011 to 2017. The book will touch on the year he discovered photography, up until his move from the Philippines to the US.

“The people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, the stories I’ve heard. The idea of bringing them together and seeing them in one piece is just pure magic to me,” Concepcion writes in his caption. “And the idea that a number of people from different places in the world [are] having the book just makes it better.”
But here’s the catch: To cop a copy, interested folks will need to personally drop a message to Concepcion via Instagram. According to the photographer, this is because he hopes to “stay connected to the people who will get my work and thank them directly.”
“I Take Pictures So I Can Remember” is priced at $50 (approximately P2,421) and will be sent out by mid-March 2021. And don’t fret—shipping is free for both the Philippines and the US.
