What’s as good as listening to Haruki Murakami’s personally curated playlist while reading his novels?
The award-winning author-slash-seemingly everyone’s favorite storyteller (especially the emotionally constipated) has cooked up something new for us. No, it’s not a book. But just like his works, it’ll definitely be another peculiar experience. A tweet by Tokyo FM reveals that the novelist is producing and hosting Murakami: Blame it on the Bossa Nova.
Happening on Feb. 15, 7 p.m. (Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. Philippine time), this live music show will be joined by fellow Japanese artists like jazz pianists Junko Onishi and Yosuke Yamashita, singer Lisa Ono and classical guitarist Kaori Muraji. To wrap it up, the author himself would have a live talk session.
Tickets can be purchased at JPY400 (approximately P183) each at ZAIKO. But there’ll also be a live streaming, with English subtitles, watchable worldwide. For more information, head to the event page.
