Finally, the first standalone Jordan shop in Southeast Asia is making its way to Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Expected to open on Dec. 3, fans and sneakerheads are all poised to cop an ultra-rare Air Jordan IV in its very exclusive Manila colorway. And we agree with Highsnobiety: it’s not just another Oregon Ducks PE remake.
Not only does it pay respect to the Philippines’ passion for basketball and Michael Jordan, the shoe’s primary green color signifies the country’s verdant, tropical scenery, while its outsole’s blue and red accents and iconic yellow Jumpman logo feels naturally associated with the national flag. A tag is also hooked with yet another Jumpman trademark emblazoned with the word Manila.
If this got you hyped, know that these kicks are limited to 150 signed pairs, one of which, numbered 23, is currently on display at the store. You can get a chance to purchase a pair through a raffle; just head over to the store’s official IG page to know the mechanics.
