Gather ‘round fellow weebs and start rooting for your fave “Haikyuu!!” teams ‘cause all four seasons are now on Netflix.
After countless matches and tournaments, the boys of Karasuno High are finally on their way to the Tokyo National Championship to face off with the country’s best high school volleyball teams.
Sports may not be everyone’s preferred anime genre, but “Haikyuu!!” is a show that goes beyond athletic conventions, taking great care to explain volleyball terms for the benefit of non-sporty viewers like me.
“Haikyuu!!” also touches on themes of youth, friendship and passion as the characters go head to head with different opponents, growing as individuals and as teams in compelling storylines.
But you might have to wait for the rest of the season. The fourth season’s first half premiered in Japan early this year, while the rest scheduled to be broadcast in July has been postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Till then, maybe you can brush up on your volleyball knowledge and binge on the other “Haikyuu!!” titles already up on the streaming platform.
