Nike is in the business of making old favorites better this year. After 16 years of being a sport style icon, the sportswear company is updating the Nike Air Presto with some sweet new tech: flyknit, the shoe material du jour. Check out the Nike Air Presto Ultra Flyknit.
Using Flyknit in the shoe further highlights the Presto’s signature adaptable upper part, which the material makes even more elastic. It gets more stretch in the collar, breezier ventilation in the toe and the tongue, and sturdier support in the heel and the toecap.
And what’s different about this line is the mid-cut collar, an interesting and modern departure from its standard low-cut design. Its iconic TPU cage has also been re-engineered to better fit its Flyknit upper, and its ultra tooling with rubber in its high-contact wear areas makes the shoe even more comfortable and durable.
Check out the sexy black pair we just got:
Originally released in 2000, the Presto became famous (or notorious, however you want to look at it) for its irreverent advertising, shirt-like sizing (from XXXS to XXXL) that led to ultimate comfort, and its groundbreaking sock-like construction.
The shoe drops here on Thursday, May 5, at Nike Park BGC, Nike Stadium Glorietta, Commonwealth, Sole Academy BGC,%
