For the folks whose love language is physical touch, it’s still a tough month ahead. The government does not want anyone holding hands while walking.
Even though general community quarantine will begin in low-risk areas by May 16, social distancing will still be enforced. In a DZMM interview, Harry Roque discouraged the public from displays of affection to comply with distancing.
“Basta wala pong kumpol-kumpulan. Iyong mga mag-asawa po, kinakailangan maghiwalay kayo ‘pag naglalakad. Temporary hiwalay muna iyong mga boyfriend…wala munang holding hands habang naglalakad po,” said the presidential spokesperson.
However, a number of non-contact sports like badminton or table tennis are now permitted. For now, a tennis date will have to do to show love to your partner. Oh, and by the way, mañanitas are still not okay, either.
