Despite news that graduation rites are indefinitely postponed for this year’s graduates, no such laws bind the magical world of the internet. Introducing: YouTube graduation, supported by the world’s biggest personalities.
“Dear Class of 2020” is YouTube Originals’ latest offering, dedicated to the class of 2020. Because let’s be real—not even the end of the world should hamper one of your biggest milestones in life.
The event will feature commencement talks and musical performances. Both former US President Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama are set to deliver speeches, joined by Lady Gaga, BTS and Malala Yousafzai. Also set to make an appearance are Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Kerry Washington, Chloe x Halle, Zendaya, Jackie Aina and The Try Guys.
Finally, you’re going to have a graduation afterparty that only 2020 can bring: a digital hang where BTS and more acts will perform. Maybe you’ll get to wear that special ’fit after all, and for Jungkook, no less.
The virtual commencement exercises will stream live on YouTube on Jun. 6. Get your toga filters ready, friends.
