Perfect timing for World Book Day and fans of “Love, Simon”: Your favorite anonymous email penpals-turned-IRL boyfriends Jacques and Blue are back as college freshmen in a new (and likely the last) book in the Simonverse.
Author Becky Albertalli just announced its title: “Love, Creekwood,” a novella that concludes the series that brought us “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda” and “Leah on the Offbeat.”
The novella will be set after the second book and before “Love, Victor,” the upcoming TV adaptation first picked up by Disney then moved to Hulu.
Much about the epilogue is still unknown, but we do know that the gang will be navigating college life with a lot of emails sent back and forth. Also, straight from the author herself: “shenanigans, exclamation points, yearning, Drunk Simon, Nostalgic Blue, Finals Week Abby, Valentine’s Day Leah, big decisions, and MUCH talk of kissing.” Sounds like a whirlwind start for college, and we’re here for it.

An outspoken LGBTQ+ ally, Albertalli wrote about the struggles of coming out in “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda” and discovering and being at peace with one’s sexuality in “Leah on the Offbeat.”
In a Twitter thread, Albertalli said she will be donating all of her English language royalty advance to The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth. She expressed gratitude for the organization’s research work, saying they “do the work she can’t” and have even helped many of her readers.
“Love, Creekwood” will come out on Jun. 30 in hardcover, e-book and audiobook formats, around the same time the spin-off “Love, Victor” premieres on Hulu.
