Customizing your consoles and controllers are part of the fun of owning them. Decals, stickers, colorways—the possibilities can be endless. Well, Nintendo just amped up your customization game.
Just recently, Nintendo gave Switch players an added aesthetic feature to toy around with: a 4-tone colorway combination. While other controllers like the Xbox or recently launched PS5 are expected to have around 4-6 set colorways, the Switch’s detachable parts make room for each accessory to have its own casing color.
There are around 10 color combinations available so far, and the program has just debuted in Japan. The actual order site is simple and efficient, allowing the user to choose between Joy-Con and Joy-Con strap colors, additional games, casing options and more.
If successful, or if enough of us whine about it, our fingers are crossed for a global (or at least Asian) launch of their new customization program.
