Have you finally finished your to-read pile at home? If you have, it’s time to fire up your Kindle or iPads. From Mary Shelly’s “Frankenstein” to Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” Project Gutenberg does horror fans and bookworms a solid by making these novels available for free download.
The pop culture site Nerdbot made the announcement: “I know in these troubling times it’s harder than usual to get books, especially since they are considered nonessential,” reads their article. “It was brought to my attention today that the classic horror novels that we grew up with, books everyone should probably grow up with are free right now.”
The pop culture site’s instant recs were high school classics, such as the mother of sci-fi novels “Frankenstein,” H.P Lovecraft’s favorite weird tale “The King in Yellow” and “Dracula,” the gothic novel that established vampire fantasy’s known conventions. More classic horror novels are available for download. In fact, you can get indecisive by choosing over 211 novels.
