A lot of the anxiety surrounding the pandemic doesn’t really come from becoming too exposed to the situation outside, it’s from not knowing enough. It’s that uncertainty in the air, the absence of concrete answers.
The University of the Philippines Resilience Institute, in partnership with the UP Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards (NOAH), recently launched a website that can help fill up that void by tracking COVID information for everyone’s reference. Endcov.ph has real time data on its dashboard, showing the number of confirmed PUIs, PUMs, recovered and deceased.
It also shows the number of tests conducted which puts the confirmed cases into perspective. While mass testing has yet to be implemented, knowing this information can help keep us updated on what the score really is.
Aside from that, the ISKOnsult tab also helps the user check for possible COVID symptoms, as visiting hospitals for check up can be a vulnerable situation for certain people.
On its sidebar, there are also tabs for COVID policies, advisories and resources to keep people informed with what can be done and what is currently being done to address the outbreak.
After designing sanitation tents, creating a local testing kit, transcribing an unintelligible presscon and more, once again, we thank you UP.
