Here’s another bummer to join the mix: After Wanderland, UNKNWN.Fiesta and a bunch of other concerts and events didn’t push through, the latest addition to the long list of cancelations and postponements is this year’s Art in the Park.
The outdoor event previously set for Mar. 15, Sunday, will no longer push through as planned due to the alarming cases of COVID-19 around the country. According to an announcement sent by the organizers, this is in compliance with advisories from the World Health Organization and the Department of Health. The move comes with the decision that continuing the event would be deemed “irresponsible.”
“We deeply appreciate the support that our participants, visitors, and partners have expressed throughout the planning process for this year’s Art in the Park,” the press release reads. “Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the coronavirus globally, and we fervently hope that this crisis will be overcome soon.”

It seems that the Garapata silk screening will have to wait, folks. On the upside, we can hope to see Art in the Park sometime in 2020 as the organizers aim to reschedule the event later this year.
