Sad news: Wanderland has been postponed to a later date

Some unfortunate news this Wednesday: This weekend’s anticipated music festival, Wanderland 2020, has been postponed to an indefinite date. The news comes three days before its initial Mar. 7 to 8 schedule.

The announcement follows after a number of cancellations of numerous events, such as 88rising’s Head in the Clouds tour in Jakarta, where a number of acts were also set to perform at the Wanderland stage, including Joji, NIKI and Phum Viphurit.

The cancellation is in compliance with a directive of the City Government of Muntinlupa not to hold events at this time, due to an advisory from the World Health Organization (WHO) on the COVID-19’s high risk assessment.

“Similar to any game, challenges and hurdles will come and not all plans will play out perfectly, but this is no reason for us to give up,” the announcement reads. “With our goal to give you the best Wanderland experience this year, your health and safety remain to be our top priority.”

As of writing, a new date for the festival has yet to be set.
