What’s good, theater kids? This Mar. 13, director and playwright Pat Valera will be conducting an “Adaptation and Playwriting Workshop” in Areté at Ateneo De Manila University. Pat Valera is known for his musical adaptation of “Dekada ‘70” and “Mula sa Buwan.”
If you’d like to see the workshop lecture in action (or rather, in theater), it’s also possible to purchase a golden ticket for the musical adaptation of Dekada ‘70 showing at 8:00p.m. that same day bundled with the workshop. The workshop will run from 4:30p.m. to 5:00p.m. and is open to all for a participation fee of P550.
On the other hand, the bundle, which includes the golden ticket to the Dekada ‘70 musical will be worth P2,200 per person. Take note though that the lecture will most likely include spoilers to the musical’s major plot points. But if you’re hoping to get the complete learning experience, immerse yourself in educational theater by watching the musical right after a lecture from director Pat Valera himself.
