There’s a new Wes Anderson film starring Timothee Chalamet

Head’s up, cinephiles! Wes Anderson’s 10th feature is coming to the silver screen real soon. And yes, it stars the internet’s boyfriend—Timothee Chalamet

Anderson’s 10th feature “The French Dispatch” will roll around Jul. 24. And yes, the rumors you’ve heard about it are wrong—it won’t be a four-hour musical (sorry, theatre kids).

The film’s distributor, Fox Searchlight Pictures, gave us more details to go with. Anderson’s latest film will be “a love letter to 20th-century journalists set in a French outpost of an American newspaper.” So, it’s deadpan humor partnered with symmetrical shots? Perfect. It’s exactly what we ordered.

Also hey, Timothee Chalamet in 20th century France? His golden curls were born for this role.

“(The film is about) an American journalist based in France who creates his own magazine. It is more a portrait of this man, of this journalist who fights to write what he wants to write,” Anderson says in an interview with Charente Libre. “It’s not a movie about the freedom of the press, but when you talk about reporters, you also talk about what’s going on in the real world.”

“The French Dispatch” has a pretty stellar cast, too. It stars Saoirse Ronan, Benicio del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Adrien Brody, Frances McDormand, Bill Murray, and Jason Schwartzman (who co-wrote the story with Anderson, Roman Coppola, and Hugo Guinness).
