Takasahi Murakami’s latest collaboration is with PORTER—and it doesn’t disappoint. The velcro-filled pair of sneaks features the resurgence of the iconic Kaikai KiKi sunflower as a finishing touch. This bomb footwear is also decked with Tonari no Zingaro branding—Kaikai KiKi’s official souvenir shop. He teased this upcoming collection yesterday, Jan. 9.
Aside from this, Murakami also revealed a giant bag called “Lucky Bag 2020” on his Instagram. It may not exactly dictate our fortune this year, but what we know so far is this: it’s packed with assorted collectibles that “can only be discovered upon purchasing the bag,” as told by Hypebeast. Are we looking at a rising fashion trend this2020?
Murakami has also been known to do picturesque collaborations. Months ago, he also collaborated with PORTER on 2way helmet bags to rucksacks that also feature the Kaikai KiKi sunflower. Now here’s some wishful thinking: The latest Murakami x PORTER collab dropping in the Philippines. We’d definitely watch out for it.
