UP Diliman’s annual UP Fair is more than just a historic event. For a lot of people, it’s a pivotal moment of their coming-of-age stories. From singing their hearts out to teenage anthems to late nights spent at the campus grounds, annual fairgoers never fail to have a memorable experience.
On Feb. 10, O/C Records is amping up this experience by creating Hiwaga—a rather unusual yet monumental stage in this year’s UP Fair.

“Si Martin Riggs [A&R namin sa O/C Records], nakipagusap siya sa mga taga-UP at na-bring up niya na Tuesday to Saturday lang usually ang fair. Bakit walang Monday?” shares O/C Records’ Kean Cipriano during their media press con last Tuesday. “’Yung students na-gets agad nila ’yung gustong gawin ng label. So yes, this will be the first Monday stage ever in UP history.”
Expect a classic stage in the making with a wild lineup of performers to boot. From your everyday buskers, classic metal bands, acoustic singer-songwriters, and even boy bands on the rise, O/C Records’ Hiwaga stage have something for everybody.

Singer-songwriter Unique Salonga will be making his UP Fair debut, as well as the boys from the pop group SB19. They will be joined by big acts such as UDD, Slapshock, Kjwan, Callalilly, This Band, Reese Lansangan, and Clara Benin. Also gracing the stage are O/C Records’ artists such as Gian Magdangal, Earl Generao, Rice Lucido, Frizzle Anne, Martin Riggs, Zsaris, Calein, and Bita and the Botflies.
With a historic slot and an unusual lineup, just to see how Hiwaga will come together. This can be the first of many memorable UP Fair Monday stages to come. Why not take a risk and watch it all unfold?
