It’s been a busy year for 16-year-old Finn Wolfhard, and that’s not just counting his “Stranger Things” season three stint. In 2019 alone, the young actor was named as a Saint Laurent ambassador, starred in “The Goldfinch,” and ended his ties with his former indie rock band, Calpurnia. Now, in one of the quickest rebounds yet, the actor has announced his new musical group, The Aubreys.
According to a post from the band’s Instagram page, The Aubreys will mark their debut on the official soundtrack of thriller film “The Turning,” with a track titled “Getting Better (otherwise).” Based on the novella “The Turn of the Screw,” Finn Wolfhard also stars in the movie alongside “Black Mirror’s” “San Junipero” star Mackenzie Davis.

Last Nov. 9, Calpurnia announced their breakup online. “What seemed to us like an unimaginable reality came to be, and we have been thrilled to share the ride with you,” the post reads. “We’re all going to be starting fresh chapters in our lives: new projects, new music, new creative ventures, and new experiences to come.” Calpurnia released several singles and covers since their start in 2017. Their last and only EP is titled “Scout” (which is unfortunately not a record of ballads dedicated to us).
