The anime house that Hayao Miyazaki built signed its first streaming deal with HBO. Finally, we can re-watch our favorite Studio Ghibli classics even without the DVD collection.

With HBO launching its streaming service HBO Max next year, they made a deal with Studio Ghibli where subscribers can exclusively watch their fave Ghibli films online. Get ready to revisit classics like “My Neighbor Totoro,” “Princess Mononoke,” and “Spirited Away” among others. The streaming site will launch in Spring 2020 at North America.

Unfortunately, it won’t be made available for international release. Not unless the streaming site becomes successful. So let’s all start wishing for its success or hope Studio Ghibli signs with more accessible platforms like Netflix. We need that Totoro fix, people!
