88rising collabs with ‘Star Wars’ alum for their latest merch

Think 88rising is done with merch drops for the month? Try again, y’all—they ain’t stopping anytime soon. Just this week, they joined forces with legendary Japanese artist and Star Wars alum Hajime Sorayama for another set of capsule merch.

Sorayama’s iconic sexy robots are all over their Head in the Clouds compilation album. Not only did he design the album art, but also the merch. “Working with 88rising and seeing them reinterpret my work has been inspiring and refreshing. I love their creative energy and collaborating on new artwork specifically for their Head in the Clouds II album has been a real joy,” Sorayama said in a statement. “It’s nice to see that my robots can surf!”

Their latest drop features Sorayama’s sexy robots placed on monochromatic pullovers and basic tees. Although they only offer a limited release at the moment, we can expect additional releases to drop, serving as a promotion for the album. It will feature outerwear, knitwear, and other accessories.

The current releases have cyborg-centric shirts with 88rising’s branding. Other available prints are a tipsy cat robot, stylized dinos chilling with a tennis-playing bot, chromatic robo-mermaids, and couples as well.
