I quote Michael Scott from The Office: It’s finally happening!
We’re a month away from viewing Lion King’s live-action remake. Okay, we might not like remakes all the time. But it’s hard to be mad with such a stellar cast.

The cast is pure black excellence. We have Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar on deck, James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa, Eric freakin’ Andre as Scar’s henchman, Donald Glover as Simba, and the Queen Bey herself as Nala. It’s looking promising so far. Although will the live-action have a baller soundtrack?

Was it nostalgia? Or was it two talented people blending well? It’s definitely both for me. Check the trailer out yourself. Remakes and reboots might not always work, but for Lion King—looks like we’re in for a treat.
I still high-key want to her Queen Bey pull this off though. Calling Jon Favreau, can you make it happen?
