Here’s your chance to learn from Filipina filmmakers this March

Film might be a male-dominated industry, but this doesn’t stop these Filipina filmmakers from molding Philippine cinema. So why not take the chance and learn film from them this Women’s Month?

From March 9 to 30, UP Film Institute will be holding “Sinemaestra,” a series of filmmaking workshops spearheaded by Filipina filmmakers in our industry. Catch the likes of Antoinette Jadaone (Alone/Together) for screenwriting, Shireen Seno (Nervous Translation) for directing, Sue Prado (Aurora) for acting, and Monster Jimenez (Apocalypse Child) for producing.

It’s a great way to celebrate Women’s Month and maybe revisit your dreams of becoming a filmmaker. So go ahead; prepare those elevator pitches, dust off that old screenplay of yours, and head down to UPFI Film Studio this month.
