Five events you could go to this weekend

Planning a weekend can be a whole lot of work, especially when you have a 9 to 5. Most of us rely on spontaneity and, while it’s exhilarating, it’s also hard to put your cards on blind faith–frustrating last-minute cancellations and failed reservations, expired promos and overpriced door charge. You end up at a convenience store chugging a 30 buck beer. I mean, why not, but is this gonna be your Saturday night again? We’ve curated some cool events you can check out and prepare for this weekend. Perhaps it’s time you make your mind.

Tagaytay Art Beat

Tagaytay Art Beat is back on its third year where stage veterans and rookies collide to showcase local talent. Happening tomorrow, you still have time to make some calls and work your way in. Earlier today, the Scout team has done their fair share of giving away tickets. Be sure not to miss this promising exhibition of Filipino artists.

Escolta Block Party

Do you want to enjoy some music but an out-of-town trip is way past your budget? Escolta Block Party is where it’s at. While you’re going to be missing out on Tagaytay’s cool weather, this party can offer you just as much fun. With fashion stalls of repurposed clothes, well-curated art stalls, a promising live music lineup, and homegrown shops, we’re pretty damn sure you won’t go home unsatisfied.

National Museum of Natural History

While this is not particularly an event, National Museum of Natural History finally opened its doors to the public starting today. With all the other events happening this weekend, just cross your fingers it’s not jam-packed. Either way, what better way to have fun than to learn in between?

Emerge at Suez & Zapote

Want something easy to fill your night up? Bearskin with We Drool and Drone will be at Suez & Zapote for an event. Accompanying them are DJ Sets and a photo exhibit. The Facebook Page also promises a free pass and free drinks!

PWR Wrevolution X 2018

Do you love wrestling? Catch local talents this Sunday as Kampeon ng Pilipinas Ralph Imabayashi defends his PWR belt against opponent Miguel Rosales. To top that is Ken Warren, 2018 Path of Gold Winner, challenging reigning champ Mike Madrigal for PHX Championship. Check out the event here.
