I don’t know about you but we think Gap’s latest campaign with 71-year-old pop icon Cher and 33-year-old rapper Future is weird af. Don’t get us wrong, the 30-second-long “Meet me at the Gap” ad, in which Cher and Future are seen sitting on stairs of an all-white “Hotline Bling”-ish set, singing a modern rendition of Sly and the Family Stone’s 1969 hit “Everyday People” is absolutely beautiful. It’s the idea that Gap decided to put these two together. To us, it looks like even Future is baffled by it, as he’s seems to be laughing in surprise at the end.
What do you guys think? Is it just plain weird or is it revolutionary?
