Following in the footsteps of bands Jensen and the Flips, Tonight We Sleep, and One Click Straight, this year’s Yellow Room Battle of the Bands winners: M.C. Ocampo (vox/guitar), Ej Romawac (guitar), Gino Manglicmot (bass), and Emir Bernabe (perc/drums) of “bluesy-funky-rock” band UBE are slowly but surely moving into their well-deserved spotlight. Tomorrow, on Friday Sept. 15 from 8pm, they’ll be kicking off the weekend, by launching the music video to their latest single “Sayang” at Katipunan gig house Route 196. A heartbreaking song about the reality of unrequited love, they’ve made a quirky teaser for the MV launch playing off of the lyrics of the song itself.
