Our July/August cover girl actress Julia Barretto took to her Instagram last night to post the official poster of her upcoming romcom film with Joshua Garcia titled Love You To The Stars And Back. Directed and written by That Thing Called Tadhana director Antoinette Jadaone, the film which was still unnamed at the time we interviewed her, now not only has a name, but a poster, and a release date.
Out in theaters from August 30, the film which took over a year to film (according to Jadaone), will feature an unconventional love story “na hindi usually na-e-experience ng Millennials their age” between Mika and Caloy, with Julia as Mika, a quirky girl who believes in aliens and Joshua as Caloy, a boy who doesn’t believe in aliens. The two serendipitiously cross paths during two separate road trips, and falls in love with each other.
And, just before you thought it’d end there, its trailer should follow tonight, as stated in this cheeky tweet by Julia herself.
