It’s Friday, and you know what means. It’s time for another round of Scout Friday Picks. This week, with Scout Music Fest just another weekend away, we asked one of the many performers: five-piece indie soul-fusion band Farewell Fair Weather, to create us a playlist.
Given the theme “sweater weather,” here are the eight songs college mates turned band mates Mic Manalo (vox/guitar) , Gani Palabyab (keys), Ethan Muriel (bass), Kim Hue Jin (guitar) and Mark Villena (drums) made for us. And when asked what’s their perfect sweater weather routine they answered: “We just meet up at someone’s house and chill, or we all stay home and sleep.”
Hard same.
Jacob Collier – “ In My Room”
“This is a nice song to listen to when you’re tired”
Esperanza Spalding – “Love in Time”
“When it rains, we either get impatient while waiting for the rain to stop, or we get to spend more time with whomever we are with at the moment.”
Calls ft. Jill Scott – “Robert Glasper Experiment”
“It feels good when you know you have someone to lean on.”
Ledisi – “Higher Than This”

“Take a step back and try to see the bigger picture.”
