Mark your calendar—it’s time again for Scout Magazine’s Scout Campus Tour, where Scout hangs out with students of various universities in the metro for an afternoon of games and fun activities.
For the first leg this year, Scout goes back to University of the Philippines Diliman this March 31 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the UP Diliman Sunken Garden, and guess what—everyone is invited. Everyone.
All our Scout Campus Tour staples are back: giant games the whole barkada can play with all afternoon, and a whole roster of performers that will end the night. For this leg, there will be homegrown talents from the UP Music Circle: post-rock trio Hollowburn, as well as acoustic solo acts Seresa and Alexia Sumilang. Finally, your fave boys Jensen and the Flips is officially confirmed to close the afternoon. We know you’re not gonna want to miss that.
This year, the Scout Campus Tour takes a new direction with a number of student-centric activities, including the following: A live painting session promoting mental health awareness by the UP College of Fine Arts featuring artists Tammy de Roca, Gabby Prado, and Faye Louise Pamintuan; a Students’ Gallery featuring submitted student artwork; an arts and craft booth by Pioneer; a talk about writing as a profession in the ~*~real world~*~ by Inquirer SUPER editor Pam Pastor, and a talk on art therapy by Laura Abejo from the UP College of Fine Arts.
On top of that, we’ll also be showcasing the Scout x Proudrace “Trust” clothing collection, as well as set up a Scout Wall for visitors to leave their mark. We’re also going to have our own talk all about the magazine, believe that—and we’ll also be available all afternoon to go through your portfolios if you want us to, whether you’re an artist or a writer. And if you also want to apply for an internship or you want to be a contributor, we’ll also entertain walk-in applications!
