Instagram, the go-to platform of photos in social media sharing, finally adds a neat feature to its main purpose. Instagram’s latest update now helps you clear up any indecision in sharing a particular photo by giving you the freedom to share up to ten photos in one post. Here’s an example from our friends over at Nolisoli.ph:
The photos or videos will share the same comments and likes, and will all be under one caption. On your feed, the post will have a little button to indicate that it’s a slideshow. All of the photos and videos will be square-only for now though.
The new feature is pretty straight to the point, but the possibilities are endless. “Share your favorite moments of your best friend’s surprise birthday party, from setting up to when they walk through the door. Or create a step-by-step cake recipe that people can always find on your profile,” Instagram writes on its blog. This new update also doesn’t force us to choose between Instagram or any other app (*cough* Snapchat *cough*).
It’s curious to see how brands will react to this new update. Instagram is still pretty much a viable platform for commercial brands to tinker with, and this new update may spell some pretty cool executions. We wonder though, will this ruin or make #feedgoals?
This update is available as part of version 10.9 of Instagram for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android on Google Play.
